  • What it is. This Sol-Care® tray holds 25 sterile 1 mL safety syringes, each with an attached 26-gauge, 3/8" needle cut with an intradermal bevel. It brings Sol-Millennium's retractable-needle safety design to allergy work, giving clinics the short intradermal needle used for skin testing with built-in protection against needlestick injuries. Clinics already using Sol-M allergy trays keep the same 1 mL dosing format and simply add the retraction step.
  • How the safety mechanism works. Sol-Care safety syringes use a manual retraction mechanism. After the dose is delivered, the user pulls the needle back into the barrel, where it is covered and locked in place. Visual and audible confirmation tells the user the retractable syringe is secured, and a patented locking ring prevents reuse once the needle is locked inside.
  • Designed not to get in the way. A No Gap design lets the plunger be pushed fully to the zero mark without triggering the safety mechanism, so the full dose is delivered before retraction. The mechanism doesn't obstruct the view of the needle tip, and the barrel has clear, bold graduations for accurate dosing. Sol-Millennium positions these fixed-needle safety syringes for allergy and immunization work.
  • Intradermal bevel, sterile tray. The intradermal bevel (IDB) is shaped to help keep the needle opening in the upper skin layer, which is why this 3/8" version suits intradermal allergy testing. Syringes come in a sterile tray (25 per tray) and 1,000 per case, and each is single-use. Because the product is single-use, discard each syringe immediately after the needle is locked.

Why would an allergy practice switch to a safety syringe?

Does retracting the needle change how I inject?

What does the No Gap design prevent?

Can the needle be retracted before the injection?

Retraction is meant to happen after medication delivery. Once the needle is pulled back and locked, the patented locking ring prevents you from reusing the syringe. If you accidentally retract a syringe before use, discard it in a sharps container and take a new one from the tray.

This version has a 26 gauge, 3/8" intradermal-bevel needle aimed at skin testing.
